2009-2010 工作發展 Work development

「思苗」自成立以來得到很多音樂教育及藝術文化交流的機會。本年度於「思苗音樂工作室」進行的工作包括「小提琴班」，「兒童創意音樂藝術班」，「和聲及作曲學」及「聖樂歌唱技巧班」等均有相當不俗的表現。部份學生剛完成「英國皇家音樂試」，有些學生積極備戰10-12月舉行的「全港學生公開音樂比賽」和明年3月舉行的「校際音樂節」。聖樂班學生更全部參加了9月27日於「宣道會活水堂」舉辦的詩歌比賽，當中更有隊員得到季軍殊榮。值得恩喜的是，參與的學生於音樂藝術興趣和知識技能方面都有很好的提昇。學習音樂，培養音樂的情操對他們生命價值人生態度有很正面的影響，這是我所觀察到的，亦逐步體現--音樂豐富生命--這個理念。

於器樂及合奏訓練方面，本年度服務的學校包括「香港國際音樂學校」，「啟基學校」及「中華基督教會灣仔堂基道小學（九龍城）」。特殊教育方面，「思苗」於上學年為「明愛培立學校」學生帶來學習音樂的機會，並為學校開辦首個「創意流行音樂合奏小組」，是一個相當好的經驗。本學年「培立」繼續邀請「思苗」為其編製特殊音樂教育課程，訓練合奏小組及演出。

於跨藝術創意範疇方面，「思苗」應「音樂事務處」邀請，於2009年暑假在全港13個地點為中，小學學生舉辦「創樂滿Fun」創意音樂工作坊。隨之延續的有，於2010年春為「樂善堂楊葛小琳中學」舉辦音樂藝術工作坊。「思苗」更與 「APP (Art Products Promotion) 」緊密合作，參與本年3個重要的藝術文化項目：「三城」，「熊人」及「當代藝術對談」。緊接是開展「優質教育基金」項目，這將會是未來3年的重點項目。

「思苗」於工作歷程上發現，老師與學生於音樂工作/學習上都需要不同的協助。這啟發「思苗」去建立一個協助平台的角色，以協助老師發展其音樂工作和學生促進其音樂學習。「思苗」於11月開展兩項新服務：「思苗小提琴選購服務」及「器樂導師/學生轉介計劃」。希望藉此為老師和學生提供更全面的學習音樂的相關協助和意見。

還有一系列工作正與學校及非牟利社區中心洽談中，「思苗」希望能將優質的音樂藝術教育帶到不同的領域裡。

Praise the Lord –

Since established CMuse, it has been receiving plenty of opportunities of music education and art and cultural exchange. Work including Violin Class, Children Interdisciplinary Arts Programme, Harmonization and Composition, and Gospel Singing are all performed well. Some students have just finished the examination hosted by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Some students are working hard for the Hong Kong Students Open Music Competition which will be held in fall 2009 and also the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival in the coming March. Students of the Gospel Singing Class all participated in the Gospel Singing Contest on September, 27 held by the CMA Living Water Church. One member even won the price of 2nd runner-up. What made it truly joyful is, all students, no matter their interests towards music and art, or their musical knowledge and skills, have been built up remarkably. Learning music, developing musicianship and nurturing their different sentiments do have positive influences on one's attitudes towards life. That is what I observed. And it strengthens our belief – Music enriches lives.

For instrumental learning and ensemble training, schools we are serving this year including the Hong Kong International Institute of Music, Chan’s Creative School and CCC Wanchai Church Kei To Primary School (Kowloon City). In the area of special education, CMuse brought the music learning opportunity to the students of the Caritas Pelletier School, and helped the school to organize the first ever Creative Pop Music Ensemble. That was an excellent experience. This year Caritas Pelletier School continued their cooperation with CMuse for planning their special music curriculum and organizing ensemble training and performances.

In the area of Creative Interdisciplinary Arts, CMuse was invited by the Music Office for planning and instructing creative music workshops, Creating Music with Fun, in 13 different venues throughout Hong Kong in the summer of 2009. Following CMuse is invited by Lok Sin Tong Young Hsiao Lin Secondary School to give creative music workshops in 2010. On the other hand, CMuse works closely with APP (Art Products Promotion) for 3 main projects this year: 3 Cities, Chinabear and Chinaman, and Contemporary Art Forum. Coming up CMuse will focus on developing the Quality Education Fund projects and it will be one of our major developments for the following 3 years.

During our work, CMuse has discovered that both teachers and students need help in different aspects. It inspired CMuse to be an assisting platform to assist the music work development of teachers and also facilitate music learning of students. CMuse launched 2 new services in November, CMuse Violin Purchasing Service and Instrument Teacher/Student Referral Scheme. We hope these projects can give a more comprehensive help and advice to both teachers and students in their music work and learning.

Also, CMuse is now discussing different work cooperation with other schools, non-profit making organizations and community centres. CMuse is hoping to bring quality music and art education into different fields.
